When that is the case, we work with our corporate clients to bring all the elegant, flowery splendor of the outdoors into a facility of their choice.
For this event, we worked with our client to recreate a sophisticated picnic, full of stylish (and delish) menu items that we dubbed Fire and Ice because of the fantastic contrast between the seafood and land-based main courses offered to guests.
The entire event was constructed indoors, yet was designed to incorporate the fresh greenness of outside. Here is a bit more about this wonderful event.
Fire and Ice Indoor Summer Outing
The table begins with Ice:
- Shrimp Cocktail Shooters
- Asian Tuna Tartare
- Petite Lobster Rolls
- Oysters on the Half Shell
And the delicious buffet continues with Fire:
- Bacon-wrapped Scallop Lollipop
- Mini Crab Cakes
- New England Clam Chowder
- Grilled Oysters
- Grilled Beef Tenderloin
- Charred Summer Corn
- Lobster Mac and Cheese
Complementing the Fire and Ice display is a variety of salads, including:
- Mixed Baby Lettuces
- Asian Rice Salad
This event offered a Toast-Your-Own-S’mores Bar, including:
- Homemade Graham Crackers
- Chocolate Ganache
- Assorted Toppings
Throughout the event, we served guests:
- Sam Adams Seasonal
- Sam Adams Lager
- Harpoon IPA
- Iced Tea
The entire lobby was covered in very colorful florals and accents so that guests felt as though they were outside in the gardens of Boston. Only instead of experiencing the hot summer sun, guests walked around in air conditioning!
Why to Host an Indoor Summer Outing?
Yet, despite the lack of space, amenities or adequate capacity, companies still understand the many positive impacts that hosting a company picnic or party can have on the mental, emotional and transformational states and relationships within business. That’s where this concept comes into play. You can still have all the elegance of a beautifully bright green outdoor summer party with all the comforts of an indoor facility.
It’s important to note that when you host an indoor summer outing, you are still:
- Increasing employee morale
- Creating a 100% tax deductible event
- Instilling some classic summer fun
- Still under the cool air conditioning
- Bringing the team closer together
- Giving clients an opportunity to visit your venue or office space
The featured indoor event was held in a large, open lobby; however, we can create an outdoor-like summer party inside most spaces, such as:
- Office lobbies
- Conference rooms
- Break rooms
- And more
