Snowball Spectacular at RoyaleWith glitz, glitter and a gorgeous group of people, this worldwide financial company took to Boston’s Royale to ring in the holiday season and asked BG to create a beautifully snowy setting with delectable cuisine to celebrate.
North Woods Meets Wintery FunWith a full-on winter experience in mind, the client wanted to make sure the atmosphere engaged guests as much as the entertainment and catering. So, we would set the scene by creating a snowy white forest with a vintage sleigh, grazing reindeer, lines of LED trees and precisely place faux rocks to guide guests throughout the festival-like experience. The setting would have contrasting light and dark colors as well as lighting to add dimension and excitement to the atmosphere. Guests would feel as though they were there: in a beautiful, serene winter forest celebrating like royals.
Alpine EntertainmentEntertainment was a “must have” for our client and it needed to appeal to all ages as family members were also invited. Pairing this request with the previous, the entertainment would also follow in the snowy North Woods footsteps when we teamed up to provide an Alpine snowboard simulator and other winter carnival games to interest guests. Carolers would greet all and serenade throughout the welcoming cocktail hour. Even more entertainment would ensue when we dropped the lights, opened up the dance floor and welcomed the DJ on stage to get the dancing started.
From Small Bites to Winter PiesBeginning with passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, the celebration’s catering would be fit to serve North Woods royals. First, small bites such as duck confit cones, Korean short rib tacos and scallion pancakes with vegetables. Then, a short plate restaurant-like experience with salmon wellington, seared scallops, ginger roasted pumpkins and more. Next, would be a wintery pie station of seafood, turkey, beef and vegetable.
International Cuisine in the North WoodsThe Royale catering experience would also include several more food stations to appease all appetites in the most regal of fashions. Also served with dinner was a flatbread carvery station featuring prosciutto, Portobello, smoked salmon, roasted apple, smoked duck and a half dozen more. Also, a rice bar with coconut curry chicken, Moroccan vegetable tagine, eggplant and North African braised beef. Finally, the liquid nitrogen station featuring “dragon’s breath” frozen meringues and ice cream pops.
A Grand Finale Fit for Royale-tyThe final star atop the tree of the wintery, North Woods Royale holiday party would be extravagant and delicious. As the client requested, our creative !ndulge division would treat guests to the finest array of desserts and pastries. We would turn the dessert course into a “wintery experience” by rolling out and serving our selections in vintage sleighs. Desserts include snow cones, French macaroons, coconut meringue, white cake pops and assorted mini cupcakes. The client and its guests would revel in this unique, “incredible” wintery experience for weeks and months to come!
